Thoughts and memories are shared about the mysterious and powerful Kaiju Queen. Where did she come from? What’s her plan? Morning and Xula remember the past as they await Janey’s awakening.
Along the hard and violent road, Janey has had to face off against a lot of tough foes. The last thing she needed at this point was to learn the closest thing to a friend may be the next. A lot of things finally get revealed in Zombie Tramp issue 36 and it sets up for some huge things to come.
Morning makes contact with Janey, giving her some insight on her past and who and what Kaiju Queen is. Unfortunately, this also reveals that Xula is in fact another of the Queen’s minions and must also be taken out. Waking from her slumber, Janey prepares to hit the road again, doing her best to play it cool until the time is right.
Not a whole lot of it again, but we do get some gratuitous Janey shots and some gorey panels. What really stands out though is how bold and intense the artwork is. Contrasted against a lot of black, the sharp colors with nicely illustrated expressions come right out of the page.
With how much she’s been through, it’s really sad that Janey is going to have to face off against Xula. I have to imagine that it’s going to be an absolutely insane fight, so there’s that to look forward to. Get out of your own slumber and snag this issue so you’re prepared for the main event.
