Last issue started strong and with purpose-
if the new TV series took a whole season to finally decide what it wanted the
latest incarnation of the Doctor to be, it seems this comic knew from the
start. Last issue saw The Doctor and Clara landing on a planet where
terraforming has gone awry, with a mysterious being lurking at the heart of it
all. This issue brings the reveal the villain of the piece is…

The Rage 1

With the amount of zombie-related media
swarming around us, you’d think that society is already infected with some sort
of addiction. Movies, TV shows, and video games (and so on and so on) all have
within examples of very successful (and not-so-successful) apocalyptic settings
and undead threats at the heart of their narratives. The Rage faces the daunting task of distinguishing itself among the
massive library of zombie stories lest it becomes a part of the vast, faceless
Pierre Boisserie attempts to provide to readers a different
kind of zombie apocalypse: in this world, only children are infected with a
feral-state inducing sickness. We see the world through the eyes of a slowly
recuperating France a couple years after initial contact with the “virus.” All

really well produced but just doesn’t grab you. I suppose some people would
even call that a problem, because how can you fully give justice to something
you can’t engage with. Those people are fucking idiots, but hey, you have to at
least a...

What a difference a change of medium makes. Though reviews of the latest series have been mostly positive you can’t deny something has been…lacking…for want of a better word. Yet take a comic, allowed to set its own pace, take its time and not have to worry about catering to anyone bar those who love good stories…it’s amazing what you can produce. In this case, it’s the best 12th Doctor story to have been written so far.

Robbie Morrison’s debut issue takes the...

The Evil Within 1

Spun from the new survival horror game The Evil Within™
from Bethesda Softworks this all-new prequel invites readers to experience the
deranged world created by Shinji Mikami.
Writer Ian Edginton (Scarlet Traces, Victorian Undead) and artist Alex
Sanchez (Katana) present the story of a young student, Dana, whose search for a
missing friend leads straight into a world fraught with tension and
unimaginable horrors.
Resident Evil is hands down one of my all time favorite
game series of all time, if not my favorite.
Personally, I think the survival horror genre has been a little lacking
in recent years.  So when I heard about
The Evil Within from the “father of survival horror”, Shinji Mikami, I was
unbelievably excited.  That excitement of
course made this first issue of the pr...
