Spencer & Locke #4

The end is nigh, as Spencer and Locke square off against Locke’s crime lord father, Augustus, with a child’s life hanging in the balance! Can Locke survive against these overwhelming odds? Does he even want to? And who killed Sophie Jenkins? Find out here in this explosive finale!

A finale to anything, whether it’s a show or a series of novels or comics, is something to both anticipate and dread. You thirst for that big ending to the story, yet at the same time you wish it wasn’t ending. Spencer & Locke #3

S.O.S.! S.O.S.! Beaten, drugged and left for dead, things are looking bad for Locke—but unfortunately for his captors, Locke isn’t here anymore. Get ready for a night of psychedelic terror and homicidal violence as Rocketman Reynolds makes his daring escape from Planet X!

Whatever you do, try not to let the somewhat confusing summary of this issue get in the way. Believe me, it makes all the sense in the world when you’re reading it and it’s quite fantastic. But when they face a vicious crime syndicate and memories from Locke’s traumatic youth, can this unlikely pair survive long enough to find the truth?

While I can’t speak from personal experience, imaginary friends are a big part of many children’s lives. They get kids through so many things, even if they physically aren’t doing anything. Even so, the first issue of Spencer & Locke shows that even imaginary friends can be just as powerful.

Detective Locke finds himself taking the unfortunate case of the murder of his grade-school puppy love, Sophie...
