Red Sonja Vol 3 #6

In the second of our two-part finale, the Hyrkanian forces clashes, sister against brother, in bloody civil war for the Falcon Throne. Revelations, explosions, betrayals, and triumph await as the soul of Hyrkania – and Sonja herself – hang in the balance.

The time for the final battle has arrived and even with the power of the mighty Roc on their side, the outcome of the day’s battle still seems uncertain. Sonja’s morale is further undermined by seeing Midyan at the King’s side. Lili takes a few arrows and Klaus soon finds himself staked to the ground while Magnus drones on about his evil plans that apparently involve feeding the children of Grimsvig to a dark entity.

Dagmar tries to spirit Jonas away from her mad husband, but they are captured. The King pays a visit to rein in Magnus but he too is brought low by the beast that the miners have finally unearthed...

2000 AD Prog 1986

Dredd and Joyce have finally made it back to Mega City One after discovering that his kidnap was orchestrated by Brit Cit.  Sadly it’s not the homecoming they were expecting as they learn from Rico that the city is slowly being taken over by the Texans. The TC judges also seem to have a very specific agenda, part of which includes a systematic elimination of any mutants.  And they’re just getting started.  Once again we get a great iconic Dredd cover for this week’s issue.  This serial is finally starting to move along as well.  Dredd is not happy with what they’ve done to his city and there will be Grudding Hell to pay!

The Brink continues to grind along without much movement other than learning that it’s been 3 weeks since Brinkman’s death and his partner has more or less g...

Stranger Attractors #1

Get ready for one weird and obscure ride.  Book one begins with a teaching assistant at Columbia University giving a talk on chaos theory, inclusion theory and a variety of other things incomprehensible to the average person.  As the scene progress it becomes obvious that the man can see the world in a peculiar way where he can predict seemingly random outcomes.  Apparently this altered mental state is enough to make him throw himself off the building.  Weird, yeah?  It really only gets more bizarre from there.
Enter our main character, a graduate student named Heller Wilson, a gifted young man in the field of complexity theory who tracks down a certain brilliant professor named Brownfield...
