Kickstarter/Indiegogo of the Week: Superheresies

SUPERHERESIES is a full-color 28-page comic featuring three short stories, each similar in style to Golden Age comics and with a halftone filter to simulate the look of old newsprint (without actually being newsprint).  The physical copy is 7.75″ x 10.25″ (197 mm x 260 mm), with interior pages printed on 50# paper.  There will be three cover variants.

What an incredibly cool idea! If you think so, back this project today before it’s too late!

Kickstarter/Indiegogo Spotlight: Machina Corpse Unearthed

Free and Emond are creating Machina Corpse’s First Offerings themselves to lay our foundation. In addition to helping build our company, you’ll receive our First Offerings, a 36 page comic book, with 12 pages by Free, 12 by Emond, and another 12 of bonus art, behind the scenes information and a look to the future of Machine Corpse. This will be available as a PDF and print comic, and we’ll be offering other incentives as well.

In Lonely, BK, Seline struggles with relationships, friends, the city, and being a hungry vampire. And in 1983, Emond offers a prequel to an upcoming graphic novel involving a failing family and a demon that nests in broken souls.

First Offerings will be available before the end of the year.

This Kickstarter won’t be though, so jump on board today!

Kickstarter/Indiegogo of the Week: Binge Watcher’s Guide to Doctor Who, Season 11

I got to do a cool thing this week, I was a guest on The Legend of the Traveling Tardis Radio Show. The format for the show was a stump-the-panelist style game. I was a bit worried about how I would do against undeniably more knowledgeable panelists. Heck, a regular panelist on the show is award-winning author Mackenzie Flohr. She is putting out a book series called The Binge Watcher’s Guide to Doctor Who. How do I stump someone like that!? You can listen to how badly I did this Saturday on numerous platforms, and watch the video version next Monday on TLOTT’s YouTube channel.

Thankfully, she wasn’t on the panel this week. I assume that was at least in part because she’s part of the Kickstarter campaign for the first book in the Binge Watcher’s Guide to Doctor Who, Season 11.

Team D

Guys, this has to be one of the cutest crowdfunding campaigns I have ever seen! Just look at that art. Brought to you by the same team who brought us Awakenings is Team-D …the story of a little girl and her teddy bear, Duo who end up fighting the monsters under the bed to try to save dream-time! I don’t know about you, but I think that children’s/all ages comics are a hidden gem within the comic book industry and I’m not going to lie, I’ve already put my money down to own a Duo. I hope you’ll join me in helping this comic leave dream world and come to the hands of everyone! Head on over to Indiegogo right now to pledge!
