Kickstarter/Indiegogo Spotlight: Welcome to the Void

The Void - Kickstarter

Welcome to the Void Issue 1 is the beginning of an ongoing comic book series that revolves around a dimension known only as The Void. The protagonist, Manny Johannson, finds himself propelled into a world where anything your mind can imagine is possible. He isn’t the only one who knows about it, though. Can he keep others from abusing this power? Can he keep himself from doing the same?

Dude….I would get into so much trouble if I had that kind of power. For starters, my house would be clean! I cannot wait to read this comic. I want to see if Manny (which is kind of an awesome name!) can keep himself out of trouble. If you want to find out too, and I know you do, check out this awesome book over on Kickstarter.

Indiegogo Spotlight: The Paperback Hero Saga

Hey all! I bring you this week’s Indiegogo/Kickstarter of the week by request! Unfortunately, there weren’t any graphics that I could use, so instead, I bring you the words of the man himself!

My name is Mason Parker. I am a hip-hop MC, spoken word artist, actor, and content producer. In 2012 I conceptualized “The Paperback Hero Saga” as a response to the monotony of the mainstream. Often times in pop culture, the best way to educate is to entertain. With the music industry quickly becoming visual, I viewed it as an excellent opportunity to introduce my comic book to help illustrate the themes discussed in my music.

Now that the project is complete I need you to help me get it to the masses...

Indiegogo Spotlight - Geek-o-Rama

Scott ‘Doc’ Vaughn has teamed up with Mike DeBalfo to create PAPERSTREET ENTERTAINMENT, LLC (Paperstreetent.com) to publish their ideas and art as comics, books and more! They’ve been drawing comic books and illustrations for years and are excited as vampires at a slumber party to bring their own ideas to the forefront and begin a new publishing company! Among their initial launch material are the novels that Scott has written over the years (including the popular WARBIRDS OF MARS) which Paperstreet will finally publish as well as new works they have in-production. It’s an amazing opportunity for them to get their personal works completed at last and to publish the projects they’re passionate about...

Kickstarter of the Week: Ursa Minor

Ursa Minor - Big Dog Ink

A long, long time ago, I was a major supporter of BDI and the books that they were putting out. Then, due to circumstances, we split ways and I confess to losing track of what was happening with them. Now, they’re back and they’re back in a big way. They’re bringing back one of my favorite stories with an all new 40 page special edition written by none other than Dirk Manning himself. Dirk has a reputation for doing horror and for doing it well. I’m looking forward to seeing what he does with my favorite werebear and everyone that surrounds her. Big Dog Ink always puts out high quality books with great stories and I know that this one isn’t going to be any different than their other works.

If you’d like to check it out for yourselves, and I really do think you should, head over to their...

Kickstarter/Indiegogo Spotlight: The Can Game

Kickstarter Spotlight - Geek-O-Rama - Can Game

What is the Can game?

Trick shot your way to the top! The Can game is an addictive, trick shot based family/party game that is sure to bring out your competitive side! The game itself is small enough to be played anywhere, by almost any age! Trick shots are just plain fun and rewarding to make. We wanted to create a simple, family friendly game that combines basketball with elements of beer pong and horseshoes. With other card and dice based games. We used coins, because they can be gathered up easily and the different weight and size of the coins makes for an interesting challenge. The funds from this Kickstarter campaign will fund the design work, cans and production of the card’s, dice and labels as well as packaging materials.

Thanks for taking at what looks to be a really fun kicks...
