Gen Con 2017

Gen Con 50 has come and gone and we were lucky enough to be a part of the excitement! In fact, we actually had three folks there: Dave, Katrina, and Roger. Dave spent the weekend working for Cheapass Games and seemed to have a great time. As for Roger and myself (after all, one of us has to write this..hehe), we had an exhausting but spectacular time. Let me give you the rundown…

Our Gen Con started months ago when we booked our hotel and applied for our badges. The hotel is important because the day before we were to head to Indianapolis, all sorts of excitement started because of it. I’m going to leave that for another post though and tell you about our actual experiences at the convention center. After all, that’s where all the fun happens!

Thursday started bright and early with us ar...

Dragon Dice: The Undead

If you want a bit longer tale of what Dragon Dice is, go back and read my previous review from last year. In short, Dragon Dice was the first collectible dice game, originally released in the mid-90’s by TSR before the company was bought out by Wizards of the Coast. This game was originally released in the late 90s under a more English name that may not be uttered for trademark reasons, although during the 90s he would have technically been Irish, or arguably forever Scottish. Either way, the game was forced out of print, and eventually republished as James Ernest’s Totally Renamed Spy Game four years later, with double the cards...

Gen Con 50: Incomprehensible Interview with Grant Wilson of Rather Dashing Games

I’m not going to lie. This was the interview that I was most excited to do. Grant is such an incredibly nice guy and the games that Rather Dashing is putting out are absolutely fantastic! The fact that he gave me a button and a hug didn’t influence me in the slightest…I promise! Seriously, watch the interview and go check out what Rather Dashing has coming out. I’ll give you a hint..one is coming out just 3 days before my birthday…nudge nudge…hehe…

Oh…and the other voice you’ll hear answering Question #2 belongs to Mike, who is also rather awesome and …well, rather dashing.. (yeah, I went there…)
