Vampblade Season 2 #6+7

With the new space vampire hybrid threat, Katie must seek help from her sworn enemy… Zombie Tramp! But they also need the help of another unlikely ally… DollFace!!

Ah ha! I knew that the last issue had to be leading up to these next two. I mean, that’s not a big revelation or anything, but it’s good that they made the connection clear enough to catch it. That being said, we start on the “Road to Danger Doll Squad” with issues six and seven of Vampblade.

Try to keep up, as even I’m not sure I completely followed along with what happened here. Directly following the last issue, Janey aka Zombie Tramp is still searching for Katie aka Vampblade and ends up being the reason she makes it back to Earth...

Dollface #8+9

Lila’s battle comes to an emotional end in this horrific tale of Dollface.

Oh, but that’s not all folks, tell them what else they’ve won! Catching up in between these two arcs may not have been the best idea, especially with how gut wrenching the end was for issue eight. Issue nine of Dollface may not have had that emotional punch to the face, but it wasn’t exactly a ray of sunshine either.

With Emily being taken away from the fight, much to her frustration, Ivan returns to assist Lila who is clearly struggling against the rotund witch. She comes up with a great plan to bring Orla down from the inside, and her and Ivan successfully pull it off. You’d think this is where they celebrate another victory, right? Nope, here’s where your feels get walked all over and it’s really rough...

Zombie Tramp Vol 12 Issue #38+39

The battle begins as Xula and Janey go head to head in an epic showdown for survival and power.

What is it that they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer? Well in this case, it appears that they are one in the same after all this time, much to the surprise of our undead lead role. I know that Janey is used to dealing with some crappy situations, but the one we see continue in issues 38 and 39 of Zombie Tramp is about the worse one yet.

If anyone was a little underwhelmed with the action in the last issue, then it’s more than made up for in these two. I have to say though, as much as I looked forward to this fight, it’s also a little sad to see Janey having to fight someone who’s the closest thing she’s had to a friend...

Zombie Tramp Origins #2

The second issue in the remastered reprinting of the highly collectible original mini-series, that was never before released in single issues to the direct market.

Every great character needs a backstory, even zombies, right? I mean, zombie backstory would normally just be “average Joe is caught in zombie apocalypse, gets bit, is now zombie Joe”. Not much of a story there. Even before the majority of us were exposed to the events of Zombie Tramp Origins and its second issue, we knew Janey had anything but a typical history.

As I’m sure must be how it is for anyone freshly turned into a zombie, Janey is on a mindless killing spree in the streets, until Xula comes to her aid...

Infinite Seven #5

After the tragic events of last issue, Anthony “Smash Brannagan” Zane lies in a coma at the edge of death, while a friend from his past threatens to expose the Shadow Cabinet to the world, putting her in the crosshairs of the Infinite Seven! The status quo has changed, making this the PERFECT jump on point for new readers!

One of the more common ideas that seems to be attached to the life of a secret agent is that of being alone, cutting ties to a “normal” life. That’s hard enough for a grown adult to do, but imagine making that choice as a teenager. Of the many things that Anthony has been up against, this might actually be the toughest. Nothing is ever going to be the same from here on out for our young hero as we see in Infinite Seven issue five.

In the aftermath of the harsh endi...
