Serenade #10

After Jin Moon Kim’s rape attempt (issue #9), and still suffering the loss of her husband, Serena begins her dark, destructive journey of vengeance.  Vengeance on all those who have robbed her of happiness.

The Good
This classic story of revenge was very successful in getting you to connect with the main character. You could feel how fueled by intense emotions she was throughout each scene. The first person approach was well used for this and really helped bring you into the story.

The Bad
One thing that I would have liked was a bit more fill in the pages as far as the art goes, namely background.  The color splashed throughout almost felt out of place at times with it being sparse.

This Kickstarter’s aim is to raise $500 for the completion of issue #6 of our flagship title, Sonora.

For the past two years I’ve been publishing Sonora, a modern animal-driven twist in the superhero genre. Children’s artist extraordinaire Erin Taylor has been using her unique artistic abilities to bring this adult children’s comic book to life. And so far, the main characters Three and Lope have been having a tough time.

I don’t want to give too much away in case you haven’t read issues 1 through 5. Suffice to say Three is powerful and angry and in a rare opportunity to make things right.

Amanda Tapping Joins Phoenix Comicon 2013

Phoenix Comicon is proud to announce Amanda Tapping will be attending Comicon 2013. Born in England, raised in Canada and dubbed the Grand Empress of Sci-fi by her legion of loyal fans, Amanda is one of the most recognized actors working in television today.

Tapping played Samantha Crater on the long running Sci-fi series Startgate SG-1. She later reprised the roll on the spinoff Stargate Atlantis.  More recently Tapping worked on the SyFy channels series Sanctuary. Where she not only starred in the series but acted as the show’s executive producer. She also appeared in several episodes of The CW’s show SuperNatural. This year she played lead roles in the films “Taken Back”,”Random Acts of Romance” and “Space Milkshake”.
