Never Underestimate A Hermit Crab

Hi all! It’s been a while since I’ve been able to dip my fingers back into the reviewing pool. I spend most of my time making sure all of our reviews get posted and that our reviewers are busy folks! However, this gem showed up in my mailbox and I just had to take the time to share it with all of you.

Never Underestimate a Hermit Crab is a brand new book released by Silver Dragon Books. If you know me, you know that I’ve been harassing the fine folks at Zenescope to make more use of this brand so seeing that made me squeal just a little bit. On top of that, if you purchase the hard cover edition, a portion of the proceeds go to PAWS: Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society. Those two things alone were enough to have me smiling before I even opened the cover.

Once that cover was opened though...

Grimm Fairy Tales: Different Seasons Vol. 3

Merriment and mischief continue in this third volume of
holiday one-shots from Zenescope Entertainment.
Here you’ll find tales of danger, deceit and the uncouth effects of
greed, as well as an epic volleyball game.
Written by the likes of Ralph Tedesco, Joe Brusha and Raven Gregory,
this is certainly not one to be missing from your collection.  With that said, there are quite a few issues

This volume collects the 2010 Halloween and Holiday
Specials, as well as the 2013 Valentine’s and St. Patrick’s one-shots and the
2012 Swimsuit Special.  Now, not entirely
certainly sure how all these fit together story-wise, but I’m sure it’s just a
matter of putting together what was available and not overloading this volume

Zoe Out of Time

What happens when a time travel device falls into the hands
of a rebellious, teenage girl? CHAOS!
The title to this pretty much gave away that it was going to
involve something with time travel.  Or
at least, it did to me anyways.  Then
again, once you see the cover it’s all the more obvious.  Even so, I didn’t know exactly what direction
Zoe Out of Time was going to go in specifically.  Lucky for me, it was a really fun one.  That is, assuming you can logically pair
direction and time travel together.  Ok let’s
not get into that discussion, how about we just move onto a review eh?
As a child who grew up in the 80s, I almost instinctively
love anything time travel.  The story we
have here is no exception, with our physics defying hero being a rebellious,
but still lovable he...
