Action Lab’s VAMPLETS gets USA TODAY coverage

the heels of its first smash hit, SKYWARD, comic book publisher Action
Lab Entertainment took another step forward by getting its next big
release, the kid-friendly VAMPLETS, covered in the August 19 issue of
USA Today.

for an early October release, VAMPLETS is a 48-page oversized hardcover
edition based on the plushy toy line developed by creator Gayle
Middleton (who played a large role in the redesign of My Little Pony and
The Littlest Pet Shop), co-written by David Dwonch, with art by Amanda
Coronado and Bill Blankenship.

tells the story of Destiny Harper, a teenager who gets pressed into
service babysitting a collection of loveable monster babies. USA Today

Best-selling #1 issue in company’s history

 Zenescope Entertainment has announced that the #1 issue of its brand new title, Grimm Fairy Tales presents OZ, has sold out of its initial 30,000 copy print run. The publisher has ordered a second printing of the debut issue for immediate release. 
Zenescope’s re-imagining of the Oz mythology was one of the top-selling titles through Diamond in July and the best-selling Oz related book of the month. Making that feat impressive is the fact that publishing giant, Marvel Comics, also released the #1 issue of its new series, The Emerald City of Oz, in July as well.

Action Lab Outlines Continued Growth for 2013 and Beyond!

At its first ever panel at Comic-Con
International, cutting-edge independent publisher Action Lab Entertainment announced not only a number of its
upcoming new releases for late 2013 and into 2014, but also its launching of
the “Return of the Hero”—a number of titles intended at pushing the boundaries
of what a superhero story can be.

At the Saturday evening panel, the Action Lab’s
top staff showed the audience a presentation featuring highlights of its future

With the arrival of San Diego Comic Con this week, comic lovers
from all spheres are ready to get their hands on all of the new and
exclusive books which have come to be a hallmark of the convention.
 Action Lab is offering a number of unique variant covers for the
occasion including covers from Jamal Igle, Mike Norton, and Jeremy Dale.

Action Lab’s Skyward Becomes Ongoing Series, Features Alternate covers

Lab Entertainment is happy to announce that Jeremy Dale’s Skyward will
become the first true ongoing title for the independent publisher.
 Scheduled to debut at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, Skyward was
originally envisioned as a six-issue mini-series, but it was decided,
given the grand story that Dale wants to tell with the book, that an
ongoing, sequentially-numbered title would be the best option.

addition, each issue of Skyward, beginning with issue #3, will feature
an alternate cover produced by some of the more popular and well-known
