Princeless Tales of Girls Who Rock

Princess Adrienne is on the loose again, and this time she brought some friends! While Adrienne may be the first runaway princess, she’s certainly not the only girl who rocks! Come join Adrienne, Bedelia, Sparky, Tempest, and some brand new friends in Princeless: Tales of Girls Who Rock, a one-shot sure to introduce you to your next comics obsession!

Sometimes when you can’t get enough of something, your prayers get answered.  Granted, it was more hoping than praying that I did for additional Princeless content.  Either way, we were given another offshoot issue with Princeless Tales of Girls Who Rock, which in itself rocks.  All around, everything about getting more of this series rocks whether it’s a one-shot or more of the ongoing story.

Once again, we get to see another compact,...

Shahrazad 1

A new heroine rises from the legends of the ancient world.
Shahrazad was known for her amazing stories of 1001 Arabian Nights, but now it is time to tell her story! She lives a life unlike anything you could imagine.  An existence that spans generations as well as genres.  In this new ongoing series, Shahrazad stares into the storms on the horizon with determination, but the forces of nature, and of history, are not to be taken lightly!

It says a lot about how intriguing a comic is when you end up on a wiki page to find out more about the source material.  Granted, it’s not often that you’d run into a book taking its roots from material that you grow curious about.  But then again, Shahrazad is definitely unique in its own wonderful way like that...

Ascension 2

The Being has now proclaimed himself the new god and all would be wise to change their ways, lest they face his wrath.  The Realm Knights, now aware of The Being’s return, begin formulating a plan to put a stop to his brand of “justice”.  But, is The Being really doing more harm than good, and will Samantha be able to take him down from within before she has to get her hands dirty?  Read issue 2 of Ascension from writer Pat Shand and witness the coming of a new age.

So, The Being has taken the whole “vengeful god” thing to heart.  No evil goes unpunished now and it would truly seem like he’s making a difference.  However, the Realm Knights know better than to trust him.  They’ve seen The Being in action firsthand and they know the true extent of his power...

The Witcher 1

Traveling near the edge of the Black Forest, monster hunter Geralt meets a widowed fisherman whose dead and murderous wife resides in an eerie mansion known as the House of Glass—which seems to have endless rooms, nothing to fill them with, and horror around every corner.

It’s always fun to see video games go through the transition into a comic format.  This is especially the case when Dark Horse is the one who brings it to the table.  While I’ve only had the opportunity to see game footage, hearing that The Witcher was getting this done interested me.  Who knows, maybe this could be what gets me to finally play.

This first issue opens up with Geralt aka “The Witcher” running into a hunter along his travels...

Robyn Hood Legend 1

It’s the beginning of the end, with the opening of the third volume in the Robyn Hood trilogy, from the creative mind of Pat Shand.  All the good she had done for Nottingham has all been for nothing, thanks to the efforts of the Sheriff of Nottingham.  Now back in the Earth Realm, Robyn seeks to mete out her own brand of justice in order to put to rest all she had lost.  Little does she know, however that all may not be as it seems.

Unfortunately I haven’t read through the previous volume of Robyn Hood, but from what I can tell, something went down.  She’s back in Earth Realm and rather shaken up.  Will Scarlet has been killed by the Sheriff of Nottingham, whom was summoned forth by Guy of Gisbourne, and Nottingham is all ashambles...
