I’m sure just admitting this publicly puts my video game card at risk, but I’m not an Overwatch fan. I played the first open beta to check it out, had a fairly good time with it, but had no interest past that. I’m not saying it’s a bad game, not at all, it’s just not for me...

Over the Garden Wall 2017 Special #1

Wirt and Greg try to take a shortcut in the Unknown with some unexpected consequences.

Wait, isn’t that basically what happens all the time in these books? This is one of those titles that while I haven’t read a whole lot of, has been generally so so for me. Once again, I went into this wacky title hoping for something good in the Over the Garden Wall 2017 Special.

I’ve probably overused the term nonsensical when relating to this series by now, but I feel like it’s the best way to describe it. All three stories for this new special are based in the same world and the silly travels of the brothers Wirt and Greg...

Zombie Tramp Origins #2

The second issue in the remastered reprinting of the highly collectible original mini-series, that was never before released in single issues to the direct market.

Every great character needs a backstory, even zombies, right? I mean, zombie backstory would normally just be “average Joe is caught in zombie apocalypse, gets bit, is now zombie Joe”. Not much of a story there. Even before the majority of us were exposed to the events of Zombie Tramp Origins and its second issue, we knew Janey had anything but a typical history.

As I’m sure must be how it is for anyone freshly turned into a zombie, Janey is on a mindless killing spree in the streets, until Xula comes to her aid...
