LITTLE BIRD #1

COLORS BY: MATT HOLLINGSWORTH

LETTERS BY: ADITYA BIDIKAR

SYNOPSIS: LITTLE BIRD follows a young resistance fighter who battles against an oppressive American Empire and searches for her own identity in a world on fire. – COMIXOLOGY

STORY: This may be one of the best books I’ve read in a while. The story is written well and follows a young Canadian resistance fighter. Whom goes on a journey to find another character called the ax. The amount of easy to digest world building in this first issue is quite impressive. You are basically thrown in the middle of a war and it’s not confusing at all as to what is happening...

Ruin of Thieves: A Brigand’s Story #4

Writer: Ram V

Artist: Sumit Kumar

Letterer: Aditya Bidikar

Publisher: Action Comics

Synopsis: The Brigands wrap up their 4 book saga in this action packed finale that finds our heroes continuing on their mission to find The Myros Pendelum. Can everything be salvaged by a rescue?

Review:  As the finale to the series, this one isn’t good as a stand-alone. When I say this, I’m not saying the story isn’t good. It is. It’s filled with great action and Loads of adventure. But, like all great series, it needs to be with its bookmates, otherwise it gets confusing. The artwork is beautiful and the story is an adventure.  The shocking ending is definitely worth the read.

Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars

Where to find more information: You can find Ruin of Thieves: A Brigand’s Story #4 at Comixology.

Only Dylan has snapped out of the delusion. She reflects on the horror of what her family has become. Now, she needs to make a decision.

Review: The artwork in House Amuck is blocky, somewhat two dimensional, and has an old school style...

The Long Con #1

THE WORLD IS OVER…

BUT THE CON HAS JUST BEGUN.

Five years ago, a cataclysmic event obliterated everything within a fifty mile radius of the Los Spinoza Convention Center — including the attendees of Long Con, the world’s biggest (and longest) comic convention.

But unknown to the outside world, the con-goers not only survived, they kept the convention going.

When proof of their survival surfaces, reporter Victor Lai is sent to investigate. After all, he was covering the con that fateful day, and escaped mere minutes before everything went kablooie… abandoning his nerdy pal Dez in the process.

So clearly he’s the perfect person for the job, and he won’t get trapped inside like some kinda idiot.

Right?
