Synopsis: Released from Death Row into the service of the Temarian Inquisition, the Brigands, led by Stilian “Blackheart” Desault, are expected to steal The Myros Pendulum. On the night of the Myros Comet, the heroes find themselves trying to keep their heads low and hope they can continue on their quest without getting caught.
Review: If Ruin of Thieves: A Brigands Story was a movie, it would begin with a Star Wars type of introduction. This one page introduction to the graphic novel sets the stage for the adventure that is to follow. With the feeling and look of a fantasy sword and dagger type of movie, the story will be a thrill to those who love reading fantasy novels. The artwork is very detailed in such a way that even a wordless frame can spell out important parts of the story. I needed to read this through twice to really understand everything that was happening. The reason is because there is so much happening when it comes to the details of the story, both in reading it and in the artwork. Those who are greatly into Game of Thrones kind of reading and enjoy espionage at its finest will immediately take a liking to this comic.
Rating: I give Ruin of Thieves: A Brigands Story 4 stars.
You can find Ruin of Thieves: A Brigands Story at Comixology for $2.99. You can also subscribe to the full series, so you won’t miss any upcoming issues.
