Rocket Salvage 1

Primo Rocket used to be the fastest speeder in the
galaxy, but after a crash that sealed the fate of his space home, Rio Rojo,
Primo has resigned himself to life as a lowly spaceship salvage yard owner.
However, his two “kids” clone Beta, and Beta’s genius girl Zeta seem
to keep out of trouble. When the dysfunctional family suddenly becomes the
target of an intergalactic manhunt, the family has to come together to save
their home.
Like most of us find out, things that haunt us from our
past typically end up catching up to us sooner or later.  Just such an unfortunate fact appears to be
the foundation for this new high speed space adventure.  With everything from clones to speeder races,
the adventure never seems to slow down in the launch issue of Rocket Salvage.  I really need to stop using so many puns..
Trying to live a quite life after a tragic incident left
him blacklisted, Primo and his children do what they can to get by.  No matter how innocent their lives seem now,
trouble once again comes knocking on their door.  When rumors start flying around that somehow point
to the family, a close call forces them out of Dodge in search of some answers.
With plenty of action and adventure written in this first
issue, the counterpart in the artwork had its work cut out to keep up.  Fortunately, every breakneck scene and sci-fi
flashy frame was done exceptionally.
Sometimes you can get a little lost in all the craziness and explosions,
but that was definitely not a problem here.
So far, this seems like it could be a really good miniseries
to get into.  With a typical twist cliffhanger
urging you to read on, I am definitely curious to see what happens next.  I think this has great potential to be a
great little space adventure and is one I think worth starting up.
