Valentina is reunited with MOTHER and together, along with Lyana and the rock-beast Ignatius, attempt a daring rescue of Yuri from within the dark heart of Castle Terror. Will they arrive in time? Or will the Queen steal his soul forever? Find out in the epic conclusion: Apocalypse Neva!
We have reached the end of this first leg for the epic space adventure. One of the things that made this more enjoyable is how very different it’s been from any other sci-fi title I’ve seen. As you’d expect from the finale of this opening arc, Planet Gigantic 4 went out with a bang. I mean that literally as well, as you’ll see at the end.
Now that Valentina and Lyana, along with their new companion Ignatius and “MOTHER” are free, it’s time to go on a rescue mission. They are in a race for time to find Yuri, as the evil Queen is planning to use her diabolical power stealing machine on him. Once they finally locate him and face off against the Queen, they are met with a new unexpected foe in the process.
To further impress the reader with this closing chapter, the artwork really stepped it up all the way through. Lots of powers, explosions, bright and vibrant colors everywhere. You know, exactly how a thrilling sci-fi book should end it’s first volume. It left a good impression for sure, so it did it’s job well.
This is probably one of my favorite sci-fi titles I’ve check out lately. I really enjoyed how it mixed elements of both sci-fi and fantasy in such a way to not dilute either genre influence. I would highly suggest getting into this before the next arc starts up. There’s a lot of potential for this to continue being an epic adventure, and I look forward to tuning in next time.
