Hero Cats of Stellar City TPB

The cutest heroes on the planet have arrived! Meet the Hero Cats of Stellar City in this, their first spectacular graphic novel. Not your ordinary house cats, they’re a tactical action-packed covert  team dealing with extraordinary threats to humanity in ways that will amaze.

When you take the typical superhero team and combine it with adorable cats, how can you go wrong?  Well, you can’t really, and that’s probably why I instantly loved Hero Cats from the first issue.  Now with their first volume trade, everyone can enjoy the introduction adventures of these heroic cats in one sitting.

In case you are brand new to Hero Cats, issue one was primarily focused on “bios” of the team.  Issue two then moved onto the first task the team had to face along with one of their new recruits.  The third issue which is included in the trade is all about the new recruit facing tests to prove whether she is worthy of joining officially.

The artwork right from the start has been very nicely done, in both the illustrations as well as the color work.  Even being a book about cuddly companions, there’s still a good amount of action that helps visually grab the reader.  With both the cats and any of the human characters mixed in from time to time, everything is visually appealing and compliments the story well.

This is a wonderful all ages story to be enjoyed by pretty much anyone.  Lovers of feline buddies will certainly find more to love about it, but that is certainly not a deciding factor on reading it.  I would highly suggest picking this up if you have kids, and even if you don’t, its a great book to check out for a rainy or snowy afternoon.
