THE STORY: I have always seen these Fathom books from Aspen Comics and have always enjoyed the way the artwork looks on the covers. But I have never read one of these books. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I really enjoyed this book. The ad in the back of the book for volume 1 of this book compares it to Captain Marvel meets Avatar, but I personally throw in some Aquaman into the mix as well, obviously because a lot of it takes place underwater. After reading this book I think I am going to pick up some volumes and dig a bit deeper into this world.

THE ART: I absolutely love the artwork here, its reminiscent of 90’s style art but with a great modern twist. The Character development is on point and colors are bright and beautiful.
