    hi everybody

I am a comics and commercial artist, worked for Marvel, DC, Image, Valiant, IDW, Dynamite– I have drawn more #1 issues featuring Spider-Man and his cast than any other artist.

I have a Kickstarter campaign for my graphic novel, called the NEW ZODIAX, that is live right now, and it’s nearly 3/4 complete in less than a week.

    here’s a link:

I would be up for an interview or anything that you would be interested in doing to help promote the graphic novel, a true labor of love for me.

    thank you!

    Hi there,

My name is J.R. Mounts, I appeared in the Artist Alley of the Cincinnati Comic Expo and met Nikolas Everhart. He gave me his card and told me to contact you about possibly any interest in reviewing my comics at Geek-O-Rama. He said pdfs are best and I wanted to know if you’d like to coordinate me sending you something to consider reviewing.

I’m an indie comics creator/writer/artist in Atlanta, Georgia with my own parody comics business called Scairy Tales Noir (yeah, add an “i” to scary so that people don’t think I do horror comics). I have a website where you can view and read samples of my work at

    http://www.scairytalesnoir.com

as well as a Deviant Art page

    http://jrmounts.deviantart.com/gallery/

The series I have the most success with is called ‘Fried Pickle Noir’, think of it as “Sin City Meets Veggie Tales” where it’s crime stories about fruits and vgetables going at it mob style in a seedless city called The Pits, starring…wait for it…Q Cumbersome; a fried pickle detective that takes on the Meatheads, the Melonheads, the Eggheads and the Potatoheads. The first three books were reviewed at Ain’t It Cool News here:

    http://www.aintitcool.com/node/66325

Another is the all ages comic strip homage called ‘Scairy Tales: the not-so-scary-fairy-tales’, think of it as “Calvin & Hobbes meets the Nightmare Before Christmas” where little misfit kids dress up as superheros and monsters that soon discover a town full of monsters!

My newest creation is a love letter to my wife, one for adults called ‘Stuck In My Head’ about a frustrated daydreamer that can’t shake mentally killing his co-workers! It’s a mental journey as he searches to find happiness before he loses all the good in his life. Funny, profane, gory and profound, it features 47 songs of my music and over 200 pages of art and story. It was sucesffuly funded on Kickstarter in 3 hours and will be released soon. You can view and listen to samples here:

Take a look around the links and contact me at your conveience if you’re at all interested. I could use all the marketing opportunities I can get and love to spread the word around.

    Cheers,

    J.R. Mounts
