Bad Girls Wrap-Up

All seems lost.

The Bad Girls have Sela and the other Forces of Good on the run with a seemingly endless demon horde, hot on their heels. With their ultimate goal of world and realm domination finally within reach, it would seem as though nothing could stand in their way.  Concluding the dimension-spanning series, Baba Yaga, the Goblin queen, and the rest of the Bad girls won’t let anything stand in their way, not even the Dark One himself.

Here it is, the end to yet another amazing series from the Grimm Fairy Tales universe.  Sela and crew definitely have their work cut-out for them this time around. However, with the help of Red Riding Hood and the Mandersoon, and one unexpected ally, the scales seem to finally be tipping in their favor...

Christos Gage, Scott Kolins, Aaron Lopresti and Don Rosa Join PHXCC 2013

Phoenix Comicon is proud to announce that comics Christos Gage, Scott Kolins, Aaron Lopresti and Don Rosa will be attending Comicon 2013.“Seriously, who can ever get enough comics guests? I know that we certainly can’t and that is why we are so excited for this year’s Comicon,” says Convention Director Matt Sorberg.

Christos Gage is known for such works as Union Jack (2006), The Breed (2001), and the 2002 film Teenage Caveman. He has also wrote a number of fill-in issues for Thunderbolts (2009) and the tie-in book for the “Civil War” storyline, Civil War: House of M (2008).

Scott Kolins is an illustrator, writer and creator for multiple different superhero and science fiction comic books. Some of the characters he has created are Peek-a-Boo, Iron Maniac, Gear and Tar Pit.

Sanctuary #3

One of the island’s human researchers gets into trouble with his bosses as the tigers press their own investigation of the death of the panda.

Plus, talking gorillas and, well, a big shock at the end.

The Good
Entering the third installment of Sanctuary, you never know what you’re bound to see, but that’s half the fun.  The story continues to be solid straight to the end, dropping the reader right off the big cliffhanger.  The art is still very well done and I’m actually quite ok with it being B&W at this point.

The Bad
To be honest, I really couldn’t pick out anything in this issue to speak negatively about.

The Summary
The dark just keeps getting darker, and my interest in the series just keeps getting greater...

James A. Owen is best known for his creator-owned comic book series Starchild (1993 to 2008). He is also the author of The Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica novel series (2006 to present).
