NEW YORK and AUSTIN, September 26, 2012 – Wil Wheaton, who starred as a teenager in the classic coming-of-age film Stand By Me in 1986 and a year later earned an important role in “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” will appear at next month’s Wizard World Austin Comic Con.  Wheaton joins seven other “TNG” cast members in a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the start of the landmark series, Oct. 26-28 at the Austin Convention Center.

So I am writing this at 10.30 in the morning with a tear in my eye. I have just listened to the last every Chris Moyles Breakfast show on Radio 1. For the past 8 and a half years every morning he has been on the air, with his team, telling things as he sees them. Sometimes controversial, sometimes thought provoking but always entertaining. His was a brand of radio show that is missing, more talk, less music, but always well thought out. 8 and a half years is a long time to listen to one show. I think I have missed about 4 weeks in that time, when I have been on holiday or away on business. Big Dog Ink Does Special Signing!

This past Saturday, Jesse James Comics, a premiere comics book store in Glendale, AZ, was invaded by the some of the most outstanding artists and writers out there also known as Big Dog Ink. Set against an abnormally hot September desert, things inside the shop were even hotter (but in the good way). Armed with an arsenal of brilliantly colored banners displaying the best of BDI’s comic creations Ian Snyder, Natali Sanders, Jenevieve Broomall, Wayne Gardiner, as well as writer and publisher Tom Hutchinson came to rock the place.
