Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Poster Collection

The beloved television series Avatar: The Last Airbender has won fans of all ages over the years. Relive this award-winning show with a set of twenty high-quality art prints in this Dark Horse poster-book collection!

As much as I love anime, there are still plenty of good old cartoons that I really like. One in particular I absolutely fell in love with and became a huge fan. It probably helps that Avatar: The Last Airbender had a lot of eastern culture influence, and it shows in Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Poster Collection.

This book is exactly as it says, and is purely a collection of twenty prints/posters for Avatar. Anyone that watched the show will thoroughly enjoy checking out these fantastic images. There is a pretty good lineup of artists that contributed, although the first handful were all the same person. Even so, getting to see all these beautiful illustrations was a treat for a fan like me.

As my only viewing of this was in a digital format, I lost a lot of what makes this book so good. The physical format is oversized at 12×16, and at that scale must be absolutely gorgeous. Even in my drastically smaller reading experience, I could tell just how spectacular these are at their full size.

In the event that you somehow let Avatar: The Last Airbender pass you by, this is a great way to see some of what you missed. It obviously only scrapes the surface, but just this small sampling is worth it. Fans and artists will benefit most out of purchasing this, but isn’t a bad book to have sitting around in any household.
