Synopsis: It’s time for the 15 year college reunion. Time for old college roommates Kegstand Craig and the new dad on the block to go out for a night of memories old and new. Will it be weird seeing people they haven’t seen in years? Will they be able to avoid old flames? Get set for a promising bro-venture.
Review: The cover gave me pause at first. “A Dad Dating Simulator”. Ugh! Is this a kissing book? Was my first thought. Instead I began an immediately interesting story about two former college roommates and their night out. You can immediately feel the bond between the two men. A short search showed there are Youtube videos this comic line is based on. But, going in blindly as a first time reader of these comics, I had a lot of questions about their background. This is the only place where it falls a little flat and why it gets 4, instead of 5 stars. We get to the end of this night and…. I don’t know why, but it feels like a part of the story disappeared. It just had a flat drop at the end that just didn’t seem to wrap up with an ending or leave a lead-in to the next story.
Rating: Dreamdaddy #1 rates 4 out of 5 stars.
